Where it started

The breakfast aisle let our family down.

When the celiac diagnosis came, breakfast turned into a daily reminder of everything that was suddenly off the table. The “free-from” options that were supposed to help were chalky, over-processed, and quietly full of seed oils and protein isolates. Nothing on the shelf felt like real food, and nothing felt like a treat.

So we stopped shopping the aisle and started cooking. The goal was simple but stubborn: a waffle the whole family could share — the kid with the diagnosis and the parent counting macros — with none of the top 14 allergens and nothing you couldn’t pronounce.

We wanted a waffle that felt like a treat, not a compromise. It took a lot of batches to get there.

A note from our founder

We didn’t set out to start a waffle company.

I’m a chef by trade, so when the store-bought options failed us I did the only thing I knew how to do — I went back to the kitchen. I wanted whole ingredients, real protein, and a texture my own kids would actually ask for.

What started as a fix for one family became a small-batch kitchen in Montana, then freezer space in the co-ops down the road, then boxes shipped straight to families who needed something better. Six flavors. No isolates, no seed oils, no compromise.
